Reba McEntire grabs top spot

Reba McEntire notched another number 1 single as Consider Me Gone took over the top spot of the Billboard country song chart for the week ending Jan. 2, 2010. On the album chart, Taylor Swift was first with "Fearless" once again.
McEntire moved to the top by replacing longstanding number one Lady Antebellum's Need You Now. which is now second. Luke Bryan remained third with Do I. Dierks Bentley stayed fourth with I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes. Tim McGraw was up one to fifth with Southern Voice. Miranda Lambert jumped two spots to sixth with White Liar.
Josh Turner also climbed 2 spots, to 11, with Why Don't We Just Dance. The biggest mover was Carrie Underwood's new single, Temporary Home, which skyrocketed from 26 to 21. Zac Brown Band's latest, Highway 20 Ride was at 27, up 2.
On the album chart, Underwood stayed second with "Play On," Lady Antebellum third with their self-titled debut and McGraw fourth with "Southern Voice." Zac Brown Band's "The Foundation" was up one to fifth.
The remainder of the chart showed little movement. Brad Paisley shot up from 19 to 14 with "American Saturday Night." The "NOW That's What I Call Country Christmas" moved from 25 to 22. Phil Vassar debuted at 29 with "Traveling Circus."
On the overall top 200, Swift was 4th, Underwood 5th, Lady Antebellum 16th, Swift's "Sounds of the Season" 24th and McGraw 27th.
