Taylor Swift Celebrates 20th Birthday by Giving Back

Taylor Swift celebrated her 20th birthday on Dec. 13 with a Christmas-themed party for her friends, band and tour crew at her family's home in Hendersonville, Tenn., reported Digital Rodeo. Swift baked butter cookies and gingerbread cookies with cream cheese icing for her guests, saying the celebration was more of a holiday party than a birthday party.
"It's more like an end-of-year Christmas party that happens to be on my birthday," she said.
The biggest gift came from Swift herself, who donated $250,000 to schools around the country that she's attended or worked with in the past. The money will be used to pay teacher's salaries, buy books and fund educational programs.
"Something I wanted to do at the end of this amazing year and especially on my birthday was give back to something I really believe in, which is education," said Swift. "The schools that I went to and the amazing people I got to learn from really turned me into who I am, and I wanted to give back."
